"Dr. Kim, Why do you teach surgical implant techniques?"
As a successful specialist in the field why does this guy teach his fellow dental clinicians (who often become his very own competition!!!)??
Implant dentistry has already become the standard of care. Whether dental specialists or generalists provide the services is no longer a relevant question. The question is
what quality of care are we going to deliver to our patients. We get asked this question a lot. Why is a well qualified surgical specialist teaching other clinicians the techniques and skills that others regard as "trade secrets." We have a simple answer. The field needs to advance, and by clinical skills need to be refined evermore, for both specialists and generalists alike...
